Health Week

Week 8 was Health Week, with plenty of activities promoting physical, mental and social wellbeing. Students enjoyed pickleball on the roof, took part in R U OK? Day and participated in fun PCG quizzes focused on health and wellbeing.

Our Year 10 students also ran health stalls as part of their assessment, sharing valuable information and activities with their peers. It was a fun and engaging week that encouraged everyone to stay active, look after their wellbeing and check in with each other. Thank you to the incredible HPE Staff for running the activities for the week.

This was also the last event for our sports captain Anouk Potter.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Anouk for her incredible leadership as Sports Captain for 2026.

Despite having significant commitments to her own swimming, Anouk has led from the front across all our carnivals and sporting events this year. Thank you Anouk!

This week selected Year 7-10 students represented St George’s at our sub-association within ACC, NWAS (North Western and Associated Schools). St George’s competed against four other schools in netball, touch rugby, badminton/pickleball and soccer. Congratulations to all students who competed on the day. It was great to see so many students take the opportunity to represent St George’s with such commitment and sportsmanship.

Yours in sport,

Miss Amy Peremjiba
