Summer uniform returns

The end of Term Three spells the end of the winter uniform – and families are encouraged to check summer uniforms over the break - and visit Tara Uniforms, if necessary, prior to the commencement of Term Four. 

Hem lines on summer dresses may need to be taken down to accommodate winter growth spurts. All students will still require their blazers every Monday or Thursday for their Chapel services and for significant formal events throughout the term, such as Year 12 Valedictory, Presentation Evening and Academic Awards Assemblies. All Year 10, 11 and 12 students will require their blazers on Monday 19 October for our Year 12 Academic Awards and Handover Assembly in Period 1, at St George’s Cathedral. This includes Year 12 students who are not to wear their Leaver’s Jacket for this event. On this same day we are very fortunate to welcome the Archbishop of York, The Most Reverend and Right Honourable Stephen Cottrell to our Murray Street campus for a presentation and Q&A with our Year 10 and 11 students in Period 5 and 6. Sufficed to say, immaculate presentation is required for this significant school day. 

Key dates in Term Four

Across Term Four we are holding many exciting school events, which are outlined on the calendar on our school website. The first two weeks will be dedicated to welcoming our Year 12 students back from their mock exams and farewelling them at Valedictory as we send them into the imminent WACE Examination period. An invitation and Countdown to the End of Year 12 document has been sent to all Year 12 families, outlining important information for this significant event on Wednesday 21 October. 

For all students, the first day of Term Four is Tuesday 13 October, commencing with an alternate timetable and an Extended PCG and House Meeting from 8.30-9.30am. 

Withdrawal notices

As we begin our planning for 2027, we kindly remind families that a full term’s notice is required if your child will not be returning to St George’s to commence the 2027 academic school year. 

While we are always sorry to farewell members of our community, timely notice supports a smooth transition for your family and assists the school with forward planning.

All notices of such changes should be addressed to the Principal, Mrs Tina Campbell on principal@stgeorges.wa.edu.au and be received before Monday 12 October
