Ella Prichard, Year 12

Soon-to-be-graduate Ella Prichard is heading to Northern Europe after being selected to participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program in 2027.

As part of this opportunity, Ella will begin life outside of high school in the Rotary district covering Finland and Estonia, where she will experience a new culture, build international connections and act as an ambassador for Australia.

Ella will represent the Rotary Club of Perth on this twelve months exchange, joining a global network of young people dedicated to cultural exchange, leadership and fostering international understanding.

We congratulate Ella on being selected and look forward to hearing about her exchange journey as a Grammarian.

Our Music Department staff

Several of our talented Music staff members have recently been showcasing their expertise and creative artistry on some of WA's most prominent stages.

Mr Euan MacMillan performed in Freeze Frame Opera's production of A Streetcar Named Desire, bringing his vocal talents to this

 acclaimed operatic adaptation of Tennessee Williams' classic play.

Looking ahead, both Mr MacMillan and Mr Ry Charlson will appear as members of the WA Opera Chorus in the forthcoming production of Gounod's Romeo and Juliet. 

Meanwhile, music tutor Candice Susnjar recently performed alongside the Perth Symphony Orchestra and the lead singer of Eskimo Joe at the opening of the Perth Film Studios. Ms Susnjar earned this prestigious opportunity after winning a composition competition. We are incredibly fortunate to have such accomplished musicians inspiring our students as part of our highly acclaimed Music Department. Their achievements beyond the classroom provide students with powerful examples of artistic excellence, dedication and lifelong learning in action.

As a regular long-distance runner, Mrs Sharon Gamble is no stranger to early starts and gruelling weekend exercise. But on a recent Sunday, our William Street wunderkind wound down to a walking pace, joining Mrs Lisa Quartermain from Marketing on The Bloody Long Walk - a 35km stretch from South Perth to Cottesloe via numerous western suburbs. The long walk, which raised funds and awareness for Mitochondrial Disease, started at 6.30am at Sir James Mitchell Park and snaked the length of Swan River to Fremantle then along the coast. Our duo achieved their feat in seven hours -  getting lost temporarily in Mosman Park - and were relieved to set foot on the sand at 1.30pm, a moment captured in this finish-line photo.
