ART

Art in 2023 students across the school engaged in many exciting art projects. In Years 7 and 8 students covered art forms such as drawing, painting and sculpture. They created animals and sculptures out of Mod Roc plaster or wire. Students in Year 9 learnt about the Mexican Day of the Dead culture and based their mask sculptures on this. They also used spray paint to create their own graffiti art. Students in Year 10 explored the world of cameras and image editing in the Photography class. They also explored printmaking and artist inspiration artworks in Year 10 Art. In VCE Art students made their own artworks based on materials and themes they wanted to explore, while learning about conservation and presentation of artworks in galleries. They showcased their works and knowledge of this at the end of year Art Show.
