VCE – VM 2023

2023 saw our school enter the unknown territory of the new VCE-VM qualification design. Our students across year 11 and 12 who engaged in the ‘VM’ program continued to access TAFE study and work placement opportunities within their timetabled program. In classes we saw so many new learnings about how to operate with our Literacy and Numeracy Skills and applying these into both Personal Development and Work Related programs. Highlights from the two year levels include working at the Primary School assisting across year levels there, working with our year 7’s and 8’s in PE, Art and Literacy lessons, running our BBQ’s and joining with Like Minds to create an amazing ‘fete’ type day with games and stalls. 

Additionally in yr 12, we saw personal projects of learning come into fruition around how to design your own beauty start up business, researching and presenting on Mental Health in Trade, researching medical scenarios, planning a beach driving end of year trip, refurbishing cricket bats, designing activities for elderly citizens and very young children’s engagement, learning about scouting and how it can take you overseas, and learning about elite athletes training regimes and diets. 

We are very proud of all our VCE-VM students and their wiliness and diligence in discovering their pathways and preparing, through the certificate, for life after KSC. 

We wish our graduating yr 12 students all the best moving out there into all the diverse paths that await them.
