YEAR 10

YEAR 10 2023

The 2023 school year started off incredibly well. Students made a quick transition into the senior school and students were happy to move over to the STEAM building. In term 1 the year 10s organised and set up the Diversity Dash which was a huge success. Staff and students ran/walked an obstacle course around the school and were coloured along the way. It was a celebration of Diversity, and everyone had a great time. They also had the opportunity to go along to the Grand Prix at Albert Park, which was loud, sunny and an experience to be had.

In term 2 the year 10s had the opportunity to go to Mt Bulla on a ski camp along with the year 9s. Students either had lessons on snowboarding or downhill skiing. It was amazing to see go pro videos of the students coming down the mountain. An experience they will never forget.

In term 3 most of our year 10s went off to work experience for the first time. After many weeks of preparation, they sourced out a workplace and completed certificates appropriate to their chosen industry. It was a great success with many students finding areas of work that helped them to select their VCE/VM subjects.

It has been a busy year but a fun one. I've had a great time getting to know each of the 2023 year 10 students and watch them develop and grow. I wish them all the best in 2024 as they move into their final years of Secondary education.
