Year 12

As Year 12 students prepare to embark on their Trial HSC examinations, I would like to recognise the hard work, dedication, and resilience they have shown throughout this important year. The Trial HSC is a significant milestone, offering students the chance to demonstrate their learning and to identify areas for further improvement before the final exams.

It is normal for students to feel nervous during this period, and it is important to remember that these exams are designed to guide revision and help in preparation. They are not the final word on student abilities or potential. Students are encouraged to approach each exam one step at a time, set achievable goals, and rely on the support available from teachers both academically and emotionally.

Year 12 students will have the opportunity to attend holiday workshops during the upcoming break. These workshops are designed to support revision, address areas of concern, and provide extra guidance as students prepare for their Trials. Information about workshop dates and subjects will be shared soon, so students should keep an eye on their Google Classroom.

Year 9 

The recent parent-teacher night on Tuesday provided a valuable opportunity for families and teachers to discuss student progress following the release of half-yearly reports. This moment marks an important point in the learning journey, offering a chance to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and identify areas for further growth.

Half-yearly reports offer a snapshot of student effort, attitude, and learning so far. It is encouraging to see the commitment demonstrated across subjects and the positive feedback shared by many teachers with families. For those who may have identified areas needing improvement, it is important to recognise that this is a normal part of learning. The essential next step is to use this feedback to set new goals and work towards them.
