Maths 

The Mathematics Faculty has had a busy term, highlighted by the visit from Eddie Woo on Tuesday 19 May. Students and teachers enjoyed a range of engaging and interactive sessions that explored Mathematics in fun and creative ways. There was plenty of excitement throughout the day, with many students lining up afterwards to have their calculators signed! A big thank you to Mr Bubb for organising such a fantastic opportunity for our students and staff.

Students have now completed their Half Yearly Mathematics assessments. As we review the results, there may be some adjustments to class placements to ensure students are in the class that best supports their learning. If any changes are recommended, parents and carers will be contacted directly. Parents are encouraged to reach out to the Maths department if they have any enquiries for Semester 2. 

We also have the ICAS Mathematics Competition and the Australian Mathematics Competition coming up next term. The AMC will be held on August 4 from 12:05pm to 1:40 pm. 

Parents and carers are encouraged to keep an eye on School Bytes for information about these competitions, along with other important Mathematics Faculty updates.

We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned break and returns refreshed for another great term of learning.
