Congratulations to our Opens Football Knockout Team, who secured an impressive victory over Ashfield in the Zone Knockout Semi Final.

The team showed tremendous determination and resilience throughout the match, defeating a strong Ashfield side 2–0. Yoomin K opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes, giving our team an early advantage. Despite the lead, the players were forced to withstand wave after wave of Ashfield attacks, with the defence working tirelessly to protect the lead.

As Ashfield pushed forward in search of an equaliser late in the game, our team remained composed and disciplined. Their persistence was rewarded when Luke M scored a second goal on a swift counterattack after Ashfield committed players forward in a last-ditch effort to level the scores in the last minute of the match. The goal sealed a memorable victory and secures the team's position to continue in the broader State-wide Knockout.

It was fantastic to see so many students gathered at the school oval to support the team. The encouragement and enthusiasm from the crowd created a great atmosphere and provided an extra boost for the players throughout the match.

Congratulations to all members of the squad on a well-deserved win, and we wish them the very best of luck as they progress further into the competition.
