National Emergency Alert System Test – 27 July 2026
Please be advised that the Australian Government will conduct a nationwide test of its new emergency warning system on Monday 27 July 2026 at 2:00 pm (Term 3, Week 2).
As part of this test, a Critical Alert notification will be sent to mobile phones across Australia. This alert is designed to override phone settings, including Silent and Do Not Disturb modes, meaning that phones may emit a loud alert tone during school hours.
Students and staff who have mobile phones with them may receive the alert at this time. While the test is expected to be brief, there may be some temporary disruption as phones sound simultaneously.
This is only a test of the national warning system, and no action will be required.
