Year 7- La Trobe University Careers Excursion 

‘Educational Partnerships Program’ 

Monday 12th September, 2022

On Monday 12th September, Year 7 students attended La Trobe University, Bundoora for their annual ‘Educational Partnerships Program’. 

The students arrived at the Bundoora Campus by bus, where they were greeted by our Partnerships Coordinator, Willow and the La Trobe student facilitators. 

The program started with Welcome to Country and a brief introduction to the program in the Agora Theatre at La Trobe. 

The first activity students participated in was an Amazing Race around the La Trobe Campus, followed by a ‘Uni Buddies presentation’ and a workshop for ‘Future World, Future You’ (what jobs/careers/skills would be required if they had to live on planet Mars). 

All Year 7 students were given the opportunity to work in small groups throughout the day with Willow and the La Trobe team. 

The feedback from Year 7 students has been very positive and they enjoyed the day as a ‘university student’. 

A big thank you to all staff who attended this excursion and to La Trobe University, Willow and her fantastic team. 

                                           We look forward to the 2023 program.
