Industry Tours for Lalor North Secondary College students – Year 9
Our students have been offered the fantastic opportunity to visit industries and learn about career options!!

Kitchen Innovations – Campbellfield
On Thursday 1st September, a small group of our Year 9 students expressed interest in having a tour of a kitchen manufacturing company called Kitchen Innovations.
The tour started off by meeting the Manager Mike Howell, who gave a brief background on the business. The company started approximately 25 years ago with a hand full of employees working out of a small factory, today it operates across two buildings with approximately 120 employees.
They do everything including Measure and design, Costing, Manufacturing, Painting (2Pac), Assembly, Dispatch, Delivery, Installation, Cut stone Benchtops and installing.
We all had to wear orange safety vests and stay together as Mike took us around the two enormous factory buildings, with massive, automated machinery. It was amazing!! We saw many assembly workers who were hard at work.
Our Year 9 group of students were very interested and on their very best behavior
