Childs Road Upgrade

Childs Road night works, which warranted a closure between Dalton Road and Prince of Wales Avenue from 8pm to 5am each night between 4 September and 16 September for asphalting works has been delayed.

Asphalting is highly dependent on the weather conditions, work on many of these nights has not been possible. Due to this fact, night works will continue beyond Friday 16 September.

From tomorrow (14 September to 16 September and again from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 September) – eastbound lanes will open and close the westbound lanes between Dalton Road and Prince of Wales Avenue for asphalting and line marking.

Night works will still take place between 8pm to 5am each night.

Metro Train Stations - Bell and Preston

The new Bell and Preston stations will open on Monday 5 September. Please see attached brochure for further information. No lifts at Bell station until October 2022

At Bell Station, there will be no lift access to the platforms until October 2022.During this period, a Wheelchair Accessible Taxi will run from Bell Station to Preston and Thornbury stations for passengers who need lift access to the platforms. Customer service staff will be placed at Bell, Thornbury and Preston Stations to assist passengers at the following times:

6am to 9pm

7am to 9pm

Outside these times, passengers can contact the Reservoir Station office on 9610 8204 to order a WAT. Passengers who need assistance are advised to call PTV on 1800 800 007 a day or two in advance to organise their travel arrangements.
