Principal's Post

Mrs Tina Campbell

Congratulations – we’ve made it!

Can you believe Term One has come to an end? It seems like yesterday that we were in Week 1 welcoming our new students at St George’s Cathedral. It has been a huge term; 11 weeks is a long start to the year. I hope that as you enter the holiday period, you are looking forward to spending some extra time with family and friends.

We have much to be grateful for this term – Electrocity performing at the Fringe Festival, Year 7 Camp, Picnic in the Park, Year 10 Social, Interhouse Swimming Carnival, NWAS Carnivals, AngliSchools 40th Anniversary Eucharist, NAPLAN, ACC Swimming Championships, Sounds@Sunset music concert, Year 12 Outdoor Ed Camp, Gandhi Colour Run and so much more.

Rehearsals are full steam ahead for our School Production – Witches!? In Salem?! – and there have been many co-curricular pursuits offered to students across Years 7 – 12. As Term One Interim Reports head home giving a glimpse of the many triumphs of the term, my hope is that every student has found an opportunity to ‘Find Their Brave’ – our 2025 school theme.

As we head towards Easter, I encourage you to use this time to stop and think about what it is you have achieved this term and what you are most grateful for. Between family, friends, the excitement of our imminent move to 441 Murray Street and our wonderful school community – both students and staff alike - I am feeling pretty grateful for the many things in my life which bring me much joy – I hope you are too.

Easter is a celebration of new beginnings, and I encourage each of you to take this opportunity to reflect on the past term and to set new goals for the future. Whether it is personal or academic, let this be a time to focus on positive change and growth.

Thank you to you all for your many wonderful contributions to the school this term. Enjoy the holidays, and I wish you all a very Holy and Happy Easter – see you in Term Two!
