Best of the Fest

Last Friday, 18 September, Mazenod College was delighted to host its annual Best of the Fest Concert in Oblate Hall. The concert was a wonderful celebration of the incredible talent, creativity and dedication displayed by our students throughout the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival, which ran during the first seven weeks of Term 3.

The Best of the Fest Concert brought together a selection of outstanding performances that students had prepared and presented as part of the festival. From ensembles and bands to individual performances, the evening showcased the hard work, commitment and passion of our students.

The evening also provided an opportunity for members of our community to view a selection of artworks featured in the Angelico Art Exhibition. The combination of music and visual art created a wonderful atmosphere and allowed us to celebrate the wide array of artistic talent within the College. It was a lovely evening filled with outstanding music, beautiful artworks and a great sense of community.

A special congratulations goes to Cameron O, who was awarded Performer of the Festival in recognition of his outstanding contribution and performances throughout the festival. Congratulations also to Matthew G and Alexander T, who were named runners-up. These achievements are a wonderful reflection of the dedication and talent of our students.

We would also like to extend a very big thank you to all of our Arts staff and instrumental tutors for their hard work, dedication and support throughout the festival period. Their commitment to preparing students, supporting performances and helping bring the Best of the Fest Concert together is greatly appreciated.

Finally, congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival and contributed to such a memorable evening. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, creativity and dedication demonstrated by our students and congratulate them on their wonderful achievements.
