As Term 3 draws to a close, I find myself saying goodbye to the Year 12 students I have worked with over the past three years. It has been a pleasure getting to know each of them and I am incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

I have no doubt they will thrive in the pathways they choose. We always love hearing from our Old Boys, whether by email, phone or a visit and I hope they will stay in touch.

To our Year 12 parents and guardians, thank you for your support, encouragement and partnership over the past three years. It has been wonderful to share this journey with you and your sons. I look forward to celebrating with you at the upcoming Year 12 events and seeing the boys finish this chapter on a high.

Year 12 Students

Make the most of the opportunities available to you as you finish your time at Mazenod.

I look forward to seeing some of you again during Workplace Learning. Please bring your logbooks to your placements and return them at the Graduation Ceremony. You must also complete your WPL reflection to receive your C grade.

Year 11 Students

Students should now have applied for their one-year VET courses at TAFE. Offers are expected during Term 4.

Please also organise your Workplace Learning placements for Weeks 6 and 7, from Monday, 16 November to Friday, 27 November.

Year 10 Students

TAFE offers for students who have applied for courses will be sent out next term. The CTF will also be in touch shortly about the next stage of the process, including interviews.

Our Year 10 I&E students recently completed their Term 3 Workplace Learning and we have received fantastic feedback. I am proud of the way the boys conducted themselves and represented Mazenod in the community.

The final Year 10 Workplace Learning period will run from Monday, 23 November to Thursday, 3 December. Forms and further information will be provided early next term.

Full-time TAFE courses for 2027

Applications are open for full-time courses at North Metropolitan TAFE and South Metropolitan TAFE. Students are encouraged to explore the available courses and familiarise themselves with the application and enrolment process. Applying can take time, so it is best to start early.

Before applying, your son will need:

A current résumé
A Unique Student Identifier (USI)

If your son does not already have a USI, he can create one through the official USI website. (Unique Student Identifier)
