Year 12 Outdoor Education Students Complete Final Expedition

Year 12 General Outdoor Education students recently completed their final expedition for the year along the Bibbulmun Track.

Beginning near Monadnocks Campsite, students tackled a challenging first day that included climbs over Mount Cuthbert and Mount Vincent before establishing camp at the base of Mount Cooke.

On Day 2, the group climbed Mount Cooke before continuing along the Bibbulmun Track to Nerang Campsite. The expedition provided students with an opportunity to put into practice the navigation, expedition planning, campcraft, teamwork and personal skills developed throughout the year.

It was a challenging and rewarding way to conclude the practical component of the Year 12 Outdoor Education program, with students demonstrating resilience, independence and teamwork throughout the expedition.
