Careers

Athena Aligizakis

We’re almost at the end of term!    Next term we have our Year 10 students going to work experience from 12-16 May.  A reminder to those who haven’t arranged work experience yet to please use the time over the school holidays to meet with employers, as we require a minimum of seven days to process so many forms at the Careers Office. Note that if your forms are not signed, you are not covered by insurance for work experience.  Also note that new Work Experience forms must now be used, if you don’t have the new forms please come and collect one from the wall outside the Careers Office.  Other than that, there are some career events coming up and listed below.   Any questions? Just let me know. Parents are also welcome to call any time.

YEAR 10

There is still some room for the Yarra Ranges Tech School Work Experience Program for Year 10 students. Please see Ms Scobie to be added to the list and have permission sent to your parents. More details below about the program.

Work Experience Program with Yarra Ranges Technical School (YRTS), Lilydale (12-14 May 2025 during Work Experience Week)

An opportunity has arisen for Year 10 students who are interested in hands on learning experiences through STEM activities, technology, problem-solving and design, to explore the manufacturing industry through the YRTS Work Experience Program. This opportunity is available to students who are interested in manufacturing, engineering, STEM careers or who would like to explore what these careers are about. The lucky students will be met by bus at school and will be taken to YRTS for work experience for the three days, one of those days visiting a manufacturing employer. If would like to be considered for this program, please email your interest to Ms Aligizakis in Careers or the Y0 Leader Ms Scobie.
