VCE-VM Food Handling & RSA training
VCE-VM students completed their practical and theory training for Safe Handling of Food and Responsible Service of Alcohol. Students learned about safe food practices and demonstrated their skills by making chocolate truffles in a safe manner. Students also learned about how and why alcohol should be served responsibly. These qualifications are useful for our students who are currently training in or seeking employment in the hospitality industry.
On Tuesday 4th March as part of our VCE-VM coursework, the Year 12 VCE-VM class went to Bolton Clarke Aged Care to volunteer. During this visit, one of my highlights was being able to have deep and long conversations with different residents about their many life experiences and stories. I am looking forward to our next visit with the residents, where we are going to be doing activities with them and also learning more about each of the residents.
