Year 10 Sustainable Futures Incursion

On Friday February 21, Mr Hooper's Year 10 Sustainable Futures class had the privilege of hearing from Rick McLean. Rick is the co-founder of Pacific Assist—an organisation that supports education and wellbeing in South Pacific nations.

Rick’s visit was a great opportunity for students to see the real-world impact of the issues we've been discussing in class. He shared stories and photos from his work with schools in the Pacific, giving students a first-hand look at the challenges and successes of countries like PNG or Samoa.

It was a great session that connected well with our Global Wellbeing unit, and the students really appreciated the chance to ask questions and learn from someone directly involved in the work.

A big thanks to Rick for taking the time to speak with our students—it was a great experience, and we hope to have him back in future years.
