Biz -E -Kidz Update

From Libby Hanna, Coordinator
Choir club update, Holiday Program planning underway and seeking Spring cleaning donations
Did you know that Biz-E-Kidz welcomes donations?
We love to receive books, toys, fabric, buttons, craft supplies and odd kitchen items such as we could reuse for imaginative play. Please get in contact with us if you have anything that fits this criteria or you think we might otherwise find useful. Biz-E-Kidz children are very resourceful - a couple of years ago we had a donation of about 100 paper supermarket bags in mint condition and two grade 6 boys started a hat shop with them, incorporating natural materials and sunsmart requirements.
An update from our Choir Club (Tuesday afternoons at Juniors after school care): children have been singing a beautiful song from Moana led by our wonderful Educator Carmina who was a music teacher prior to working with us.
This month we welcome back Educators:Isaiah - away since Sep 2025 teaching in Vietnam,Yasmin - away since Feb 2026 visiting family in the UK andGabriella - away since January 2026 doing an artist’s residency in Portugal!
We also have a new Educator, Taya, she is a qualified enrolled nurse and has newly moved to Melbourne from Sydney.
Looking ahead to Book Week, we have locked in our dress up theme among Biz-E-Kidz staff: Hogwarts characters! Biz-E-kidz Educators and leaders will be dressing up as characters from the Harry Potter series on Thursday 27th of August, Book Week Dress Up Day.
On Friday 28th of April, we will be open and running a Pupil-Free Day program, for which bookings are now open.
Our Spring Holiday Program planning is well underway, please let us know if you have any suggestions of themes, activities or topics you would like us to explore. We will release the Plan on Monday 17th of August with bookings opening on Monday 24th of August.
Until next time,
The Biz-E-Kidz team
