Year 11 Leader of Learning
As we move through the final weeks of Term 4, I would like to congratulate our Year 11 students on the commitment and resilience they have shown throughout the year. This final stretch can be both exciting and demanding, and it has been wonderful to see so many students continuing to apply themselves to their studies, extra-curricular activities and the broader life of the College.
Over the coming weeks, students will complete their final coursework assessments by Week 5, before moving into a dedicated week of revision and preparation for the examination period. While exams can often feel daunting, they provide an important opportunity for students to consolidate their learning, identify areas for further growth and develop the study habits required for success in Year 12. We encourage all students to approach their exams with a positive mindset, prepare thoroughly and take the process seriously. The experience gained through revision, time management and exam performance will be invaluable in building confidence and establishing strong foundations for the challenges and opportunities that await in their final year of schooling.
I encourage families to continue having conversations with their young people about their goals, aspirations and plans for the future. The partnership between home and school plays a vital role in helping our students thrive.
Once the exams are completed, students will prepare for the next stage of their learning journey, by participating in Readiness Week (Week 8). This is an exciting opportunity to begin their Year 12 subjects, providing students with valuable insight into the expectations, content, and study habits required for success in their final year of schooling. By engaging with Year 12 coursework early, students can build confidence, establish positive learning routines, and ensure they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Thank you to our students, families and staff for your ongoing support throughout the year. I look forward to celebrating our Year 11 students' achievements as we finish the term strongly and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.
