Meet the Staff

Interview with Sefulu Faamausili
For 19 years, Sefulu Faamausili has been a dedicated member of the Cranbourne Secondary College community, working as an Education Support staff member in the Inclusion team. Throughout her time at the college, she has remained committed to supporting students and fostering a positive, welcoming environment.
Sefulu has explained that the part she loves most about her role is being able to help the students. She enjoys working closely with them, building trust, and forming strong communication. “A lot of the students respect me, and they’re able to communicate with me,” she says. Her favourite part of each school day is going into classrooms, assisting students with their learning, and finishing the day knowing she has made a difference.
Across her years at the College, one student stands out in her memory. Sefulu recalls a young boy who struggled to complete full days at Primary School and often went home early. With consistent support from Years 7 to 12, he grew in confidence and resilience. Today, he proudly serves in the navy. For Sefulu, his journey represents the impact that patient guidance and teamwork can have on a young person’s life.
Sefulu says she feels proud knowing she has been able to help many students throughout her career. She values Cranbourne Secondary College’s multicultural community, describing it as a place where teachers work together and offer students a wide range of opportunities. “Something that makes a good school is teachers working together and being able to help our students,” she explains.
When asked how she hopes students will remember her, Sefulu hopes that they think of her as someone with a warm, friendly presence, “my smiling face”, and someone who was always willing to offer support, even something as simple as giving them food when they needed it.
To the wider College Community, Sefulu shares a simple message: Cranbourne Secondary College is like any other school, but what matters most is that students try their best, listen to their teachers, and make the most of the opportunities around them. Thank you!
