Year 11 & 12
Head of Year, Miss Giorgia Bakeberg

What a memorable Term One it has been - filled with a wide range of experiences for our students. I am sure our students would describe it as busy, exciting, challenging, rewarding, engaging and, of course, fun!
Sincere thanks to our St George’s community for the support shown throughout the term. Students, parents and guardians have welcomed me so warmly. St George’s is unique in the very best sense, and I feel grateful to be part of such a connected community.
As we look ahead to Term Two, please consider our Uniform Policy. As the saying goes, the standard we walk past is the standard we accept, and towards the latter part of Term One we noticed that these standards began to slip. With the transition into winter uniform, Term Two provides an important opportunity to reset expectations and take pride in how we present ourselves.
Our uniform is a symbol of identity, belonging and community. Students are always expected to wear the uniform correctly, including travelling to, from and between campuses. Support from home in reinforcing these expectations is greatly appreciated. Together, we can continue to uphold the high standards that make St George’s such an exceptional community.
Speaking of our uniform, after much anticipation our Year 12s received their Leavers’ Jackets after the World’s Greatest Shave on the Friday of Week 9. This was a lovely way to finish our term and thank you all for your patience on the receival of these. Year 12s are allowed to wear these jackets for the remainder of the year. The only time that Year 12s are unable to wear their Leavers’ Jackets is for Chapel, where they are to wear their blazers.

A reminder for our Year 11 students that the Year 11 River Cruise will take place on Friday, 24 April (Week 1, Term Two). This promises to be a fantastic evening and a wonderful opportunity for the cohort to come together, connect and celebrate while cruising along the Swan River.
Please use the booking link below to ensure you don’t miss out. Until then, Happy Easter and have a wonderful break.
