At the start of 2017, having been initially destined for the position of School Chaplain at Esperance Anglican Community School, I arrived at Grace Anglican Church in Joondalup as its first full-time rector. Five years later, I was interviewed by Mrs Tina Campbell and Mr Hilton Hardman to be the first full-time School Chaplain of St George's Anglican Grammar School. Today, Mr Hardman serves in Esperance while, through Mrs Campbell, I am now heading to St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, where our daughters once attended together. It is remarkable how these connections come full circle.
Now, as I leave, four years later, I want to thank Mrs Campbell. Though I had chaplaincy experience in Zimbabwe, this was my first time working in an Australian school. Mrs Campbell believed in me. She attended all our chapel services without fail, ensuring that I was fully supported. To the students of St. George's, your love is amazing. The previous chaplain told me, “Students here love their School Chaplain!” I have experienced this firsthand. I will deeply miss you all.

Thank you to Cate Williams, Naima Flavel, Alovera George, and Asha Freeman, the founding members of God Squad, our school Bible study. Thanks also to Miss Hewitt, who has over the years helped me run God Squad, and to all students who have joined this incredible co-curricular group. You’ll all remain in my heart forever. Keep God Squad alive!
To our teachers and support staff, what an incredible team you are! The variety of opportunities you offer in academics, sports, art, dance, and drama ensures that every student finds their niche. It is a testament to this school's uniqueness.
I leave with deep appreciation for the love I've received at St George’s. Thank you for giving me four unforgettable years. The Aboriginal peoples say, “Nhama yalala!” “We will meet again!”
