St George’s is proud to announce that Year 11 student Izabella has been selected
to represent the electorate of Perth at National Youth Parliament 2026. National Youth Parliament will bring together 150 secondary school students from across the country to Parliament House and the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House) for an immersive five-day experience. National Youth Parliament received more than 2,200 applications across Australia.
Izabella is very interested in law, human rights and social justice and is keen to learn more about the process by which bills are drafted, debated and passed into law in Parliament.

We have a diving champion in our midst. Lucy took pole position on the winner's podium at the WA state championships for diving 1m and 3m in her age group. Fantastic news. What a feat.

It is always special to see our students demonstrate compassion, professionalism and an ability to support others beyond the classroom.
Sarinah and Teannah recently volunteered their time, along with their mum Rebecca, at a Motor Neurone Disease WA (MNDWA) event.
“They were absolute professionals, preparing clinic space for each patient according to their progression, treating everyone with grace, kindness, humour and dignity,’’ their mum Rebecca said.
“It was lovely to hear positive feedback from the MND staff, patients and carers.’’

2025 graduate Aramis Surtees—known by his stage name Young Sabre — performed his very first live concert, marking a debut that showcased not only his musical talent but his dedication and artistic vision. Blending grunge influences with contemporary rap, Young Sabre has been steadily building his sound, writing and producing original music that reflects both authenticity and edge. His commitment to his craft has not gone unnoticed, recently being named “one to watch” by Whatslively—an exciting recognition for an emerging artist.
Attended by many members of the St George’s Class of 2025 the concert was filled with a sense of community and pride. We cannot wait to see what comes next.
