As we reach the end of a vibrant and productive Term 2, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many events, achievements, and learning opportunities that have shaped our school community over the past ten weeks. This term has showcased the strength of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the ongoing support of our families.

ANZAC Day Assembly

Our school community came together for a moving ANZAC Day assembly, led with maturity and respect by our student leaders. Their reflections and readings honoured the significance of the day and demonstrated the empathy and understanding we strive to instil in all students.

Athletics Day

Athletics Day was a standout celebration of school spirit. It was wonderful to see students cheering each other on, competing with determination, and contributing to a positive atmosphere both on and off the track. Events like this remind us how powerful shared experiences can be in building connection and pride.

Interschool Sport

Throughout the term, students across all year levels represented our school in interschool sport with enthusiasm and vigour. Their teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience were evident in every competition. We are proud of their efforts and the way they represented our values.

Japanese Showcase – Year 7

Our Year 7 students and their families enjoyed a vibrant Japanese Showcase, celebrating language learning through cultural displays. It was a joy to see students confidently sharing their learning and engaging with Japanese culture in such an authentic way.

Cross Country Success

This year’s Regional Cross Country event saw outstanding participation and impressive results. Many students achieved personal bests, and several will progress to even higher levels of competition. Their determination and commitment to fitness were inspiring.

Morrisby Interviews

Year 9 students participated in their Morrisby interviews, meeting with career practitioners to unpack their assessment results and explore future pathways. These conversations play an important role in helping students understand their strengths, interests, and the many opportunities available to them.

Celebration of Excellence Evening

Our Celebration of Excellence Evening was a highlight of the term, recognising academic achievement, leadership, creativity, and community contribution. It was a privilege to celebrate the hard work of our students and the support of their families and teachers.

Course Selection Evening

Our Course Selection Evening provided students and families in Years 8-10 with valuable information about subjects, VET programs, and pathways. The strong turnout reflects the commitment of our community to informed decision‑making and future planning.

Completion of Unit 1 & 3 Studies

Senior students have now completed their Unit 1 and Unit 3 studies, including mid‑year exams and the GAT for students undertaking a Unit 3/4 subject. Their focus and perseverance throughout this demanding period have been commendable. We acknowledge the hard work of both students and staff in supporting this important milestone.

Looking Ahead

VCE and VM students have begun Unit 2 and Unit 4 content. This marks a fresh chapter in their learning journey, and we encourage all students to set clear goals and maintain strong study habits as they move into the second half of the year.

Term 2 has been rich with learning, celebration, and community connection. I want to thank our students for their energy and commitment, our staff for their professionalism and care, and our families for their ongoing partnership. We look forward to an equally rewarding Term 3.
