Principal’s Message – Term 2 2026 Newsletter

As we reach the halfway point of the school year, it is an opportune time to reflect on the many achievements, experiences and opportunities that have shaped our school community throughout the first half of 2026.

We commenced Term 2 with our ANZAC Day ceremony, a significant occasion that allowed us to come together as a community to honour the service and sacrifice of those who came before us. Our students demonstrated great respect and maturity as they reflected on the importance of remembrance and the values that continue to underpin our society today.

Throughout the semester, our school has been a vibrant and active place of learning. Students have participated in a wide range of experiences that have enriched their education and strengthened their connection to the school community. From our highly successful Multicultural Week celebrations to interschool sports competitions, cross-country events, excursions, incursions and numerous classroom learning opportunities, there have been many occasions for students to challenge themselves, build new skills and celebrate success together.

One of the highlights of the term was the introduction of our first Pathways Information Night. This event provided families with valuable information about the learning options and elective opportunities available in both middle school and senior school. We were pleased to see strong engagement from families as they explored future learning pathways and gained a deeper understanding of how students can tailor their educational journey to support their aspirations and goals beyond school.

Our Stage 3 building project is also progressing exceptionally well. The foundation concrete for the new theatrette and performance spaces has now been poured and set, and the emerging steel framework is beginning to reveal the shape and scale of these exciting new facilities. It is wonderful to see the project taking shape before our eyes, and we are delighted that the works are progressing with such alacrity. We look forward to watching these spaces continue to develop and to the many opportunities they will provide for our students and community in the years ahead.

As we look ahead, there is much to be excited about. At our recent Celebration of Excellence evening, we recognised and acknowledged the outstanding achievements, effort and growth demonstrated by our students. Events such as these remind us of the incredible talent, determination and character that exist within our school community.

We are also looking forward to our annual FONO (For One Night Only) performances. This much-loved event showcases the creativity, confidence and dedication of our students and provides a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the performing arts.

Thank you to our students, staff and families for your ongoing support and commitment throughout the year. The achievements we celebrate are only possible through the strong partnerships that exist across our school community. I look forward to an exciting and successful second half of the year as we continue to learn, grow and achieve together.
