As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many opportunities our students have embraced and celebrate the achievements of our school community.

Term 2 has been filled with learning, connection and celebration, showcasing the many ways our students continue to demonstrate our STRIVE values each day.

One of the highlights of the term was Multicultural Week, where we proudly celebrated the diversity that makes our school such a vibrant and inclusive place. Students and staff embraced the opportunity to learn about different cultures through activities, performances, food and conversations, reminding us that our differences are our greatest strength.

Our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Team has continued to do outstanding work in strengthening positive school culture. Throughout the term, the team has focused on reinforcing positive behaviours, recognising students who consistently demonstrate our STRIVE values and working collaboratively with staff to create safe, respectful and engaging learning environments. It has been wonderful to see students responding positively to these initiatives and taking pride in contributing to our school community.

This term also saw the introduction of our Year 7 and 8 Wellbeing Days, providing students with dedicated opportunities to build resilience, strengthen relationships and develop practical strategies to support positive mental health. Through interactive workshops, team-building activities and sessions focused on help-seeking and emotional wellbeing, students developed skills that will support them both inside and outside the classroom. Investing in our students' wellbeing remains a priority, and we look forward to continuing these initiatives throughout the year.

A particular highlight was our annual Athletics Day, which once again brought our school community together in a fantastic display of participation, house spirit and friendly competition. It was wonderful to see so many students challenging themselves, supporting their peers and embracing the opportunity to get involved. Congratulations to all competitors and to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success.

Our students have also represented the college with pride through a wide range of interschool sports, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship. Whether competing on the field, court or track, they have represented our school with enthusiasm and respect.

Across the term, students have also enjoyed a variety of camps and excursions, extending their learning beyond the classroom. These experiences provide valuable opportunities to develop independence, strengthen friendships and apply classroom learning in authentic settings. Thank you to the staff who generously gave their time to organise and supervise these memorable experiences.

Our talented music students have continued to impress through a number of performances this term, entertaining audiences while showcasing the incredible dedication and talent within our Performing Arts program. We thank our music staff for the countless hours they invest in supporting students to develop their skills and confidence.

One of the most special evenings of the term was our Celebration of Excellence Evening. This event recognised the outstanding achievements of our students across academic success, leadership, personal growth and service to the college. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only high achievement but also the determination, resilience and commitment that underpin success. Congratulations to all award recipients and their families.

As we conclude Term 2, I would like to sincerely thank our staff for their commitment to our students, our families for their ongoing partnership and support, and, most importantly, our students for the enthusiasm, resilience and positivity they bring to our school every day.

I hope everyone enjoys a safe, restful and well-deserved break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for an exciting and productive Term 3.
