Year 8 News
Miss. Sarah Rose
Year 8 students have enjoyed a highly successful and rewarding semester, demonstrating excellent participation and achievement across both academic and extracurricular activities.
Throughout the semester, students have continued to engage positively in their learning, developing strong study habits and contributing to orderly and productive classroom environments. They have shown resilience, persistence, and a commitment to achieving their personal best across all subject areas.
In addition to their academic pursuits, students have embraced a wide range of sporting opportunities. At the beginning of Term 2, students participated enthusiastically in our Athletics Carnival and Cross-Country events. Several students achieved outstanding results and progressed to district-level competitions, proudly representing the school.
Students also had the opportunity to compete in two interschool sport days, representing the school in Netball, Soccer, AFL, and Badminton. All participants demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination while competing against other schools, making our school community proud.
To further support their personal growth, students participated in a wellbeing-focused day towards the end of the semester. This provided valuable opportunities to develop strategies for maintaining positive wellbeing, building resilience, and fostering healthy relationships.
We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 8 students have approached both their academic studies and extracurricular opportunities this semester and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and succeed in Semester 2.
