Year 9 Outdoor Education

Mr. Brett Mifsud

The year 9 Outdoor education class has had a busy term.

Firstly they had a four day camp to the Grampians in late April. Students climbed up to Mt Staplyton, Hollow Mountain, the Pinnacles and Briggs Bluff as well as exploring Fish Falls. The weather was outstanding, meaning not only did we have great views from the various places we visited, some brave students (and teachers) tried the cold bucket showers back at camp.

Next up we had a daytrip where we kayaked on the Yarra River through the rapids down Wonga Park.

Lastly, we made a trip out to Toolangi where students tested their orienteering skills as well as exploring the nearby Wirrawilla rainforest and Murrindindi Cascades.
