Year 11 Outdoor & Environmental Studies Excursion

Hikes, Waterfalls and an Overnight Camp at Wangaratta High School

On Tuesday, September 2nd the Students from our Year 11 Outdoor Education class (Levi/Luka/Cooper/Oscar/Lachie/Jack/Ellie &Georgia) went on an excursion to Lake William Hovell and Paradise Falls and did a number of ‘walks’ to help them plan their upcoming Expedition on 14th-16th October (in Term 4).

They then returned to school to complete a ‘pilot’ Overnight camp in preparation to lead some ‘Friday night’ camps for younger students  later in the year.

They had an excellent night cooking on trangias/singing by the campfire, some games… even an adventure walk to the northern beaches….and a beautiful sleep down by One Mile Creek.

They all packed up early and headed home for a shower …before returning for a great day of school.  Wangaratta High School ‘Where else would you be?’
