Year 8's Hit the Border

 

Seventeen of our top Year 8's had a big day out on September 3rd, playing 3 tough matches each at the School Sport Victoria Upper Hume Basketball carnival at the Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre.

 

GIRLS MVP - Captain Willow Norris (16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals), Paige-Lee Dummett (8 points, 20 rebounds, 9 steals), Mia Simpson (8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals).

 

BOYS MVP - Co-Captain Nick Jones (28 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block), Angus Fraser (8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals, 1 assist), Co-Captain Luke Pensak (7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals).

 

Thanks to our players, coaches, scorers, refereees, opposition and organisers for a great day.

Another massive day awaits next Thursday, with over 50 of our athletes competing at the Upper Hume Track & Field Championships in Albury.
