Sport: Intermediate Basketball

School Sport Victoria Upper Hume Basketball Tournament

 

On August 25th, fifteen of our intermediate students competed at the School Sport Victoria Upper Hume Basketball Tournament in Wodonga. 

 

Our Girls defeated Wodonga Middle Years (Felltimber) 18–8, while the Boys drew 24–24 with Grace Christian College.

 

Girls MVP was Year 9 Co-Captain Kaity Ford, who combined her basketball and football skills to also top-score. Strong contributions came from Jedda Driscoll, Taylah Wyatt, and defender Ruby O’Kane.

 

For the Boys, MVP and leading scorer was Captain Oskar McGahan (38 points across 4 games), supported by Nick Dark Jr, Lachlan Downing, Thomas Fieldew, and playmaker Clarence Lampa.

 

Despite missing key players due to camps and other commitments, both teams competed with great spirit. Huge thanks to all players, coaches, referees, and organisers!
