Sport: Year 7 & 8 Badminton

Congratulations to our Year 7 and Year 8 Girls Badminton teams, who finished Hume Region Runners-Up at the School Sport Victoria competition in Shepparton.

 

Out of 40+ schools, both teams placed 2nd in the region, just shy of qualifying for the State Top 8.

 

Year 8, captained by Paige-Lee Dummett, had strong wins over FCJ Benalla and Myrtleford P-12 before going down to Cobram Anglican Grammar. Year 7, led by Ava Penney, defeated FCJ Benalla and Myrtleford P-12, but were edged out by Grace Christian College Wodonga.

 

Opposition coaches praised our players’ sportsmanship – well done to all 12 team members, organisers, scorers and schools involved!
