English Department Report 

Over the last few weeks in English, things have been progressing smoothly. We have seen students moving through assessments, creating persuasive letters, blog posts, or essays. 

The Year 12's have begun to develop unique perspectives on the assigned text The Memory Police, by Yōko Ogawa. 

In other news, coming up in Week 7 is Woodmans Hill Secondary College Book Week! This is a week-long event to celebrate the vibrant and diverse world of Australian literature, especially children's texts.  

This is punctuated by a dress-up day on Wednesday, the 3rd of September, where all students are encouraged to dress as a favourite book character. Please note that this is not a free-dress day, and if not participating, students should be in full uniform.
