Year 10 Report

Halfway There and Full Steam Ahead!

We’ve officially reached the halfway point of the term – and what a productive journey it’s been so far! Our students have recently completed their Course Confirmation Interviews and made thoughtful decisions about their subject selections for next year. This marks an exciting step forward as they begin to shape their future pathways.

As we look ahead, now is the perfect time for students to focus on strengthening their study habits, consistent attendance, and resilience that are key ingredients for success in Year 11 and beyond. With dedication and the right mindset, students can work towards their goals for the future. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Ballarat Tech School Excursion

This term, Year 10 Humanities students attended the Ballarat Tech School to participate in the Bushfood Innovations Program. They were introduced to the processes behind contemporary food development and innovation while simultaneously celebrating Australia’s thousands of years of rich culinary heritage. The exploration of indigenous ingredients and exotic essences (think Lemon Myrtyle, Pepper Berry, Wattleseed) combined with the use of AI platforms and modern cooking techniques allowed students to display their full creative and collaborative skills as they produced their very own chocolate brownies recipes. The learning from this excursion continues onsite with further integration into their business management unit of study.

Amazing Race Winners

During our most recent assembly, prizes were awarded to the winning Teams of the Year 10 Camp’s Amazing Race through Melbourne. These students collaborated to get to all locations and picked up bonus points through collection of additional facts, documentation of their experiences in drawings and photos. Congratulations to:
