Junior School
Over the past few weeks, our junior students have been working hard in Home Group on some exciting projects connected to their Legacy Program.
Students have been exploring school, community and national issues that matter to them, from sustainability and mental health to fast fashion and the environment. Each class has been brainstorming and refining their own Legacy Project pitch, developing ideas that are small but mighty, with the potential to make a real difference at school and beyond.
Looking ahead to Week 7, students will present their pitches in year level assemblies to leadership and their peers. We can’t wait to see their creativity, innovation, and passion for change come to life!
Senior School
Senior students have been exploring job pathways and essential workplace skills, learning how to match their strengths to different careers and understand that career paths can change over time. They have also been developing strategies to identify their own abilities and effectively “sell” these skills for future opportunities.
Looking ahead, students are looking into self-care strategies and also developing their “adulting skills” by looking at out-of-home living costs and budgeting.
Science Week
Both juniors and seniors celebrated National Science Week in Week 5 with a daily science quiz for house points and hands-on challenges, including creating a paper model of a DNA strand.
