Junior School  Report

Jocelyn Gepp

It’s hard to believe how quickly the term is flying by! Our Junior School students have been busy engaging in a wide range of learning opportunities, activities, and events that have made the past few weeks full of excitement and growth.

This term, our Year 9's have completed their final Morrisby interviews and have successfully made their subject selections for 2026. Our Hands on Learning group also made a positive impact on our environment with a tree planting project, while our Year 7 and 8 students displayed teamwork and spirit during the volleyball competition.

We also celebrated Science Week, which was filled with curiosity and discovery, and enjoyed the highly anticipated Junior School Social. Our Year 8's participated in a Digital Thumbprint session that focused on raising awareness about cyberbullying, an important topic for the online world our students navigate daily.

Beyond the classroom, some of our students have embraced creativity through the Zine Making Program and innovation with Seed to Stem. Others proudly represented the school at the State School Spectacular Practices, while additional opportunities such as the Nallei Jerring Program and Mitch Tambo excursions provided valuable cultural and personal growth experiences.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and commitment shown by our students this term so far. It has been wonderful to see them engaging, learning, and achieving in so many diverse areas. We are very much looking forward to the remainder of the term and the opportunities it will bring for our students to continue learning, growing, and connecting.
