Building Program & Community Update

It has been wonderful to see the progress on our Capital Works Building Program over the past few weeks. The Senior Centre toilets are now almost at the fixing off stage, which means we are getting close to completion and students will soon benefit from modern, functional facilities.

At the same time, the Year 7 Centre is really taking shape. The structural steel has been installed, including the roof and walls, and the retaining wall around the building is now in place. It’s exciting to watch this new learning space rise from the ground and know that it will soon provide our junior students with a state-of-the-art environment to thrive in.

As we approach the end of term, I’d also like to let you know that I will be taking some Long Service Leave from 8th September through to 13th October. During this time, I’ll be travelling through Europe, and the school will be left in the very capable hands of Mr Steven Sirrals, who will be Acting Principal. I know Steven will continue to lead the school with drive and commitment while I am away.

With the term break ahead (in a few weeks), I wish all our families a safe and happy holiday. Take the time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. And of course, as we head into the AFL finals, I can’t help but add my voice of support—let’s hope we see Geelong victorious this September!
