Interschool Sport

It has been a busy term for Melba students this term. Ruby P and Elise H competed at the State Cross Country championships at Yarra Valley Racecourse in week 1. What an amazing achievement by both girls.

The intermediate boys table tennis team did an amazing effort with all of them being year 9 students. Peter, Asher, Drew and Ayaan won several individual and doubles games. The boys came second overall with Ringwood just being too strong. Peter did not lose a game all day.

The intermediate basketball teams were really competitive throughout the day. We had an amazing 4 boys’ teams and 4 girls’ teams which were the most of any school even though we have the least number of students.

We also had our year 7 and year 8 round robin days sending basketball and table tennis teams. Our year 8 girls A team came second overall which is a fantastic achievement. Students’ teamwork , enthusiasm and Melba Aura were amazing on both days
