For Years 7 – 9, Semester 2 in Humanities brings the study of Geography and Civics & Citizenship. We’re enjoying the opportunity to apply our knowledge and skills to the real world.
Our Year 8s will be exploring different natural and human features at Hanging Rock as well as different management techniques that they observe around the park. We can’t wait to hear their findings!

Our Year 9s have enjoyed exploring the different ways our world is interconnected. This includes investigating where different products are made. We created hypotheses about where most products were made before collecting and collating our data. We then we reflected on our findings and the limitations of our data set. These are all skills we will be putting to use as we research interconnection in Melbourne during City Experience for our Geography CAT.
Next time you’re out for a walk, take note of the different natural and human features you pass by. Or, if you’re checking the pantry, look to see where your yummy snack was made. The answer might surprise you!
