  • Year 9 HSIE History Assessment Task 1 was due on Tuesday 5/5/26 (Week 3a) 
  • Year 7 HSIE History Assessment Task 1 was due on Wednesday 13/5/26 (Week 4b) 

 

Please ensure that these tasks are submitted as soon as possible as all students need to be assessed for half yearly reports.   

 

HSIE Classroom Highlights:   

 

Year 7 History: Year 7 History students have been learning about the social structure of Ancient Egypt. To support their understanding, students created a model pyramid representing how society was organised; from pharaohs and priests to farmers and slaves.

Year 8 History: Year 8 History students have been learning about religion and beliefs in Shogunate Japan. As part of their learning, students created a Tanka poem and designed a decorative fan inspired by Shintoism.

Upcoming HSIE Events: 

Year 9 WW1 Living History Incursion - Wednesday 1/7/26 (Week 11a) 

As part of their Australians at War unit, Year 9 HSIE students will participate in the WW1 Living History Incursion. WW1 Living History covers the experiences of Australian soldiers on the Western Front (1916-1918) through artifacts, storytelling and hands-on opportunities. Students can expect to see interactive displays including weapons, uniforms, tools, and rations.
