Mathematics News

Dear Students and Families,
We hope you had a restful and enjoyable school break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the term ahead.
Term 2 presents valuable opportunities for students to build on their learning, engage with new mathematical concepts, and further develop their problem-solving skills. Whether preparing for assessments, exploring new topics, or applying knowledge to real-world situations, the Mathematics Faculty is committed to supporting every student throughout their learning journey.
Student Preparation
Students are expected to attend school fully prepared with the required equipment, including:
Scientific calculator
Pens and pencils
Ruler
Glue
Workbook
A scientific calculator is essential for Mathematics and is available for purchase from the school office.
To promote organisation and readiness, families are encouraged to support students in packing their school bags the night before. While teachers will assist where possible, spare equipment may not always be available. A well-prepared student is better positioned to engage effectively in lessons.
If access to required materials is a concern, please contact your child’s Year Advisor for support.
Term 2 Assessment Tasks
As we progress through the term, it is important for students to stay informed about upcoming assessment tasks and begin preparing early.
Revision materials will be provided in class.
Additional resources are available on CANVAS.
Students who are absent - particularly during revision lessons—are responsible for catching up on missed work.
Early preparation and organisation will help students approach assessments with confidence.
