Year 7 students have been busy preparing and practising this term, working to complete their first Japanese assessment task last week and this week.
They had a conversation with a partner about names, ages, nationalities and hometowns.
While they weren’t tested on their memory for the conversation, they might be able to share some of their new conversational skills with you at home!
Mrs Gough and Ms Blandino are very proud of those students who tried their very best in this assessment. Yokatta!
Year 10 Photography students have been developing their skills in street and documentary photography, with a recent excursion to Circular Quay providing a dynamic setting to capture candid urban life. Students engaged confidently in street photography, observing composition, light, and movement in a busy city environment while refining their ability to work spontaneously with a camera.

As part of their Humans of Camden documentary project, students also had the opportunity to interview friends, family members, and teachers, building their skills in portrait photography and visual storytelling. This has encouraged them to think more deeply about narrative, empathy, and how to represent people through image and text.
They are now transitioning into a new unit on Fantasy Photography, where they are sharpening their Photoshop skills and experimenting with digital manipulation to create imaginative, surreal compositions that push beyond traditional documentary approaches.
Year 11 Visual Arts students have just submitted their artist books exploring the theme of identity. Throughout the project, students were encouraged to take creative risks through experimental drawing techniques and innovative artmaking practices. Their works also feature interactive elements such as fold-outs, layered pages, and mixed media components, creating engaging and highly personal visual narratives.
