Year 8 have their health and fitness unit, Year 9 are investigating mental health and illness and exploring services and resources available in the Camden LGA for students their age. Year 10 have started the ‘You Guide to a Good Night Out’ unit, developing positive strategies and relationships when going out.
Outside the classroom, all year groups have completed their Athleticsunits, putting their training into practice at the school athletics carnival in week 2. Year 7 is moving on to Introduction to Team Sports, Year 8 - Modified Games, Year 9 - Invasion Games and Year 10 - Net/Court Games.
The Camden V Cowra Exchange will take place during Week 6 of Term 2 – Wednesday June 27th – Friday June 29th. In 2026, Camden High School will be hosting Cowra at home.
We are still seeking families generous enough to host students from Cowra High School during the exchange. Continued support of the billeting program ensures the exchange is able to continue for future years.
If you have any questions, please contact the school or ask your child to drop into the PDHPE staffroom for further information.
12 HMS attended another sporting event. This time around students attended the NRL game between the Canterbury Bulldogs and North Queensland Cowboys. It was a fantastic night bonding and deepening knowledge in the lead up to the HSC.
Meet the PDHPE Team
Up this week we have the Camden High School pickleball champions and Sports Organisers Mr Reeves and Mr Brasington. Mr Reeves and Mr Brasington have introduced the wild sport of pickleball to our students, providing them with strong competition and direction. There is always a constant battle for pickleball power with the TAS staff members Mr O’Brien and Mr Storey however, the PDHPE boys continue to hold strong in victory.
Together they orchestrate our weekly sport and all representative sport opportunities at CHS. Have a sport question, these are your guys!
