Hello! I’m so excited to be teaching 1F this year. I have been teaching for 7 years, primarily in Grades 4–6. After teaching Grade 1 last year at Carlton Gardens Primary School, I knew I wanted to teach Grade 1 again. I love seeing students’ growth from the beginning of the year to the end and helping them set and achieve goals throughout the year.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, writing and recording music, and reading. I look forward to getting to know everyone and being part of the NMPS community.

Rita Harrison, 1B

My name is Rita, and I am thrilled to have joined the NMPS community.

This is my 4th year teaching, and I was previously working at Kensington Primary school, teaching Year 1.

I am very excited to be 1B this year, and to get to know the students, and the community better.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and my cat Quincy.

I look forward to the year ahead and continuing my own educational journey here at NMPS.

Sara-Lee Shalders, 6C

Hello! I’m really looking forward to being part of the North Melbourne Primary School community this year. I grew up in New Zealand and have recently moved to Melbourne, and I am enjoying settling into life here. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with animals, and exploring new places. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff, and enjoying Year 6 together!

Kyle Robinson, 2D

Hello everyone! I’m very excited to be joining the school community. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I worked as an integration aide for a year and a half, which helped shape my passion for supporting and working closely with students. I love reading, playing board games with friends, and staying active through tennis. I also really enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes, especially pasta!

Annie Blanch, 2E

Hi, I’m Annie and I love creating warm, inclusive classrooms where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I really enjoy getting to know my students and their families and believe learning works best when curiosity, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging are at the heart of everything we do. I’ve taught across a range of year levels and am excited to be making the move from Southwest Victoria to join the school community this year. I’ll be teaching 2E on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know the class and our wider school community. Outside of school, I spend a lot of time with my dog Mac, who firmly believes he’s in charge of walk times, meal times, and all major life decisions — so if I ever seem very organised but slightly tired, or talk about someone who “needs a walk,” it’s probably Mac, not a Year 2 student!

Marie Wong So, Nurse MSC

Bonjour,

Originally from France, I trained in Australia and bring nearly ten years of nursing experience in hospitals and medical centres. I’m passionate about supporting children’s health and wellbeing and helping our students feel safe, confident, and cared for at school.

I love to travel and have two children of my own, which gives me a strong appreciation for the importance of health and support within a school community.

I look forward to working closely with families and staff throughout the year. Please feel free to reach out with any health-related questions or concerns.
