We’re recruiting!

Welcome back to another exciting year at North Melbourne Primary School! The Parents and Friends Committee (P&F) is delighted to begin 2026 with a series of events designed to strengthen our vibrant school community. We look forward to reconnecting with families and welcoming new members as we kick off a full calendar of activities.

📅 Friday 20th February

⏰ 10:00am – 11:00am (Info Session 9:30am-10:00am

📍 Molesworth Campus

Our first event of the year is the Classroom Helpers Information Morning Tea, and all parents and carers are warmly invited.This friendly, informative session is perfect for anyone interested in supporting classroom activities or learning more about how the program works across the school.Come along to meet other families, enjoy morning tea, and explore the many ways you can assist in enhancing student learning. Whether you’re new to NMPS or a returning volunteer, your contribution is truly valued.

Bring a picnic blanket, some snacks, and the whole family—our first Community Picnic of the year is coming up!This relaxed after school gathering is a wonderful opportunity for families, students, and staff to connect in a casual, fun environment.There will be space for families to spread out, socialise, and enjoy some time together. The picnic is the perfect way to meet others, build friendships, and celebrate the start of a new school year.

📍 Bear’s Wine BarOur next P&F meeting is coming up, and we’re keen to welcome new members who would like to get involved—whether occasionally or throughout the year.

This year we’re beginning preparations for the school’s biennial Fete, one of the most exciting and well loved community events at NMPS. Planning starts early, and we’re looking for people who can help with:

• Coordinating stalls and food

• Sponsorships and partnerships

• Entertainment and performances

• Logistics and planning

• Communications and promotion

There are roles for all interests, time commitments, and skill sets. Even a small contribution goes a long way!In addition to the Fete, the P&F supports many other events and initiatives throughout the year, including community-building activities, fundraisers, and celebrations that enrich student and parent/carer experiences.

Joining the P&F is a great way to:

• Connect with other families

• Support the school in meaningful ways

• Share your skills or learn new ones

• Help bring fun, engaging events to life

• Contribute to a strong, connected school communityYou don’t need experience—just enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of the team.
