Year 3
The grade 3 students have been learning about the sun and its relationship with the earth. We have been using our bodies to represent the rotation, revolution and Axis of the Sun!
Year 4
The grade 4’s have been learning to separate and identify the different layers in our soil. They worked in groups to create a living soil profile and are growing grass in their soil.

Year 5
This week the grade 5 students have started the research for their space exploration projects. Students are understanding the distance from the sun, composition and interesting facts about a planet of their choice. They will then be using this information to build a space probe to collect scientific information about the planet. Students have also used chalk to understand the scale of our solar system.

Year 6
The next few weeks for the grade 6 students involves understanding how and why we manage our resources in different ways. Groups have selected different natural resources and will be researching how we can keep these resources readily available.
