STEAM

(Science. Technology. Engineering. Media Arts. Mathematics)

What an amazing term we have had in STEAM!

Our Prep students have enjoyed lots of hands-on building and creating, developing their problem-solving and design skills through a variety of engaging activities.

The Year 1 and 2 students have been learning all about coding using Bee-Bots and Blue-Bots. They have enjoyed programming their robots and developing their computational thinking skills.

Year 3 students have been exploring Media Arts and have begun filming their own movies. They have learned about storytelling, camera techniques, and the creative process involved in producing a film.

The Year 4 students have been investigating coding and robotics using Dash and Dot robots as well as Edison robots. They have enjoyed creating programs and solving challenges while developing their understanding of how technology works.

Our Year 5 students have continued their coding and robotics journey through LEGO projects, designing and building their own functioning robot cars. They have demonstrated impressive creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

The Year 6 students have spent the term exploring 3D printing. They have designed and created their own characters, which will be used in the stop-motion movies they will produce next term.

It has been wonderful to see students across all year levels developing their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and technology skills throughout the term.

We look forward to another exciting term of learning in STEAM!
